Notice Regarding the Online Application

We have resolved the technical issues in the 2010 online application process that have been reported. You are encouraged to use the online application, along with the "Pick.Click.Give" option.

We are working to create a process that allows you to choose "Pick.Click.Give" even if you already submitted your online application. We will announce details when this option is available.

For 2010 only, the "Safari" browser is not compatible with our online application. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you are a MAC user who would like to file using the online application, you can download the "Firefox" browser at no cost. You will be automatically prompted by the online application process. Just follow the links.

If you experience any difficulties with the online application, please email the details of your experience immediately to dor.pfd.info@alaska.gov . Thank you for your patience and feedback.

Payment Schedule

All prior year applications in eligible status by close of business February 12, 2010 will be direct deposited and mailed February 18, 2010.

Payments for the 2010 Application season will be direct deposited and mailed October 7, 2010.

New Paper Application Distribution Plan beginning 2010

Paper application forms are not going away! They will be conveniently placed at a distribution site in your community. Please see our search page to find a site in your area. If you are unable to locate a distribution center in your area, please contact us so we can update our list.

  • A paper application, along with an introduction to the new process, will be mailed to households in Alaska that filed using paper applications in 2009.
  • Television and radio announcements will be run during the filing period reminding applicants to apply.
  • A postcard reminder will be mailed to every mail box in Alaska.
  • Anchorage Daily News will publish the entire list of distribution sites:
    • January 3rd, 11th,17th,26th
    • February 5th, 7th, 17th, 22nd
    • March 4th, 7th, 15th,, 24th, 28th

We are raising the public’s awareness during the application period so that no Alaskan forgets to file. In 2009, 76% of Alaskans filed applications online; however, we are committed to serving Alaskans who do not find the online application a viable option.

Office Hours

Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau Dividend Offices hours are 10:00am-4:30pm. (Anchorage customers waiting prior to 10:00am must wait outside of the Atwood Building and not in the lobby area).
