Do we owe you money?
If your parent or guardian did not file a timely Permanent Fund
Dividend application that was not paid on your behalf in a prior year, when you
were a child, you may be able to file a Prior Year Dividend application. The
requirements for filing a Prior Year Dividend Application are:
-
The applicant is 18-20 years old or legally emancipated and did not receive a
prior year dividend;
AND
-
The applicant would have been otherwise eligible;
AND
-
Those dividends were not received because the application:
-
Was not filed;
OR
-
Was not filed timely;
OR
-
Had competing sponsors.
AND
-
The applicant is applying before their 20th birthday.
Don't guess, find out for sure!
